Reverse Osmosis
In areas where the water quality is too poor for even the Doulton Water Filter system. For instance
Agricultural water or water drawn from a well
Healthy H2o recommend the use of a reverse osmosis system.
The water is passed through a series of 5 filters including a very fine membrane which removes almost all impurities. To produce water of almost distilled water standards.
1st Stage 5 micron Polypropylene filter (life Span 6 months Approx) Removes all particles above 5 micron from the water supply this includes metals and general water sediment.
2nd Stage Carbon water filter (life Span 6 months Approx) Removes, Herbicides, Pesticides, Trihalomethanes, Chlorine, Organic Chemicals, lead and aluminium.
3rd Stage 1 Micron Polypropylene water filter (life Span 6 months Approx) Removes all particles above 1 micron from the water supply this includes any remaining water sediment.
The first three stages are replaced after six months for 45€
4th Stage Membrane 0.001m rating (life Span 24 months Approx) The membrane creates the finest filtration, the treated water is forced through the membrane and any un-pure water is discarded this is generally around 75 – 80% allowing through just pure filtered water to enter the pressurised holding tank.
5th Stage In Line Activated Carbon water Filter (life Span 12 months Approx) The final stage of filtration, Once the faucet is opened the water goes through a final carbon water filter that effectively polishes the water prior to your consumption. Creating the purest water that you are ever likely to taste.

The problem being that hot chlorinated water can produce tri-halomethanes (THM's) which can have an adverse effect on the human body.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
This filter contains a mixture of Granular Activated Carbon, in conjunction with 20grams of KDF 55. KDF (Kinetic Degradation Fluxion) is a high purity copper-zinc formulation that uses basic chemical process known as redox (oxidation/reduction) to remove Chlorine, Lead, Mercury, Iron & Hydrogen Sulphide from your water supply.
As the chlorinated water passes through the KDF media, the chlorine element is changed into harmless, water-soluble chlorides, by means of an electro-chemical reaction. During this reaction other heavy metals are attracted to the media and effectively removed from the water.
